The bean in Chicago. summer 2014

My daughter, her friends and the bean in Chicago. summer 2014

It has been an amazing, eye opening, reflective, exciting and rewarding year and a half. I have been so lucky to have been taken on this journey called COETAIL.

As I look back over the last 18 months I have a long laundry list of things I have learned and are so very proud of including:

I will stop here as I feel my list can go on and on. I have been in China for the last 5 years and in Turkey before that and in both countries there have been limitations on the Internet and what I can use so I never really had the chance to use twitter or google docs and because of Coetail I have broken the firewall of China and pushed myself to try new things. Here is my Unit plan for my final project.

I really feel like I have met my goals this year both with Coetail and with my own goals at school. Each year we have to write our goals in the fall and hope to complete them by the end of the school year. This is the first year that I put 100% into that effort because of Coetail. I have really pushed myself. I would like to thank Nicki Hambleton and Matt McGrady for their continual support, ideas and little pushes. We make a great time and if we ever work together we would be one kick ass Art Department!!

So with out further ado, here is my final Course 5 video which 18 months ago seems almost impossible to do. I leave Coetail with knowledge that I will continually share with my students, peers, colleagues and future colleagues. I am leaving China in about 6 weeks and moving to the US after 16 years abroad. I will be an ambassador for Coetail in North America!
